Our local municipalities have made initial steps of acquiring building permits and information fairly painless. Most of the cities and the county have permit applications available online or for pickup in their offices without an appointment. General plan requirements are also available online.

The sign-up list opens at 7:30 AM; counter staff are available beginning at 8 AM. (It is recommended that you sign up early. Although the staff accommodate as many as possible, all sign-up meetings are completed by noon.)
